Did you know tea is supposed to taste better from fine bone china? The thinness of the bone china and the broadness of its rim affects both temperature and aroma highlighting some of the subtelties of different varieties of tea.
Chintzy china and embroidered linens can bring an instant pop of colour to your celebration. Choose mismatched or ask us for certain shades to match your colour scheme.
Props and accessories will give a unique and authentic edge to your vintage event. Typewriters and sewing machines can be used as statment tablecentres or vignettes.

We are happy to search for requests although we can’t guarantee that we will be able to find them!
Our gramophone package includes three gramophones, two DJs, a stack of appropriate 78s, various different needles to help with volume control and a stack of suitcases to play the gramophones on. Spring is springing and I cannot wait to make the most of the sunshine in all the wonderful outdoor spaces the beautiful county of Cambridgeshire has to offer. The children aren’t yet big enough for long walks or even a family bike ride so there is nothing better than picking a shady spot beneath a tree to lay a comfy woolen blanket and allow them to toddle off exploring the great outdoors.
Picnics are great for children this age as they enjoy the excitement of choosing something yummy to eat, which they can usually manage in their hands. Indoor picnics have been plentiful over the winter months, dreaming of the sunny days to come.
When Vintage Teacup Directors, Lawrence and Kirsty, got engaged in 2010 it wasn’t really a question of whether or not they would have vintage china at their wedding but more a case of how big a van they would need to hire to get it all there.
“Lawrence and I met looking after Clementine and Jezebel,” begins Kirsty. “They are the vintage truck and fire engine that belong to the students of our University. We started collecting china after my graduation as we didn’t have space for collecting car parts. Everything in our house has some sort of historical connection. We transported so many of the items that we love to the venue to create a feeling of home. It was important to be surrounded by so many of the items we have collected as they represent our different interests and many family members who are no longer with us.”
“Because of the vehicle connection we wanted to recreate the feeling of a vintage rally. We love visiting steam fairs, our favourite being the Isle of Wight Steam Fair at Havenstreet every Summer, so we decided to try to recreate that festival atmosphere in West London. It was at this point that Lawrence came up with one of the best ideas for our wedding and he was tasked with finding an original steam driven gallopers for the afternoon reception.”
